Did you know that artichokes are considered aphrodisiacs? When I found out that the artichoke was revered as a powerful agent of arousal, I set out to do what stay-at-home moms everywhere need to try: seduce my husband! As a busy mother of two boys, it had become all too easy to run around everyday in sweats, and throw together dinner at the last minute. My husband and I had become like two ships that passed in the night, and we had never taken the time to be romantic. Last Friday night, I called up the in-laws and sent the boys to spend the night at their place. Then, I set out to make a dish that was sure to send his senses reeling:
Sexy Artichoke and Chicken Bake
It only takes 5 minutes to prepare, and around 35 minutes to bake, so even a busy mom like me can get it into the oven and still have time to take a shower and throw on a slinky little dress.
Ingredients Needed:
1 (14 oz) can water-packed artichoke hearts, well drained and chopped
3/4 cup / 120gr grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup / 180 ml mayonnaise
1 dash garlic powder or 2 garlic cloves
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Spray an 11 by 17 inch baking dish with cooking spray
- Salt and pepper the chicken breasts and place in baking dish
- In a bowl, combine artichoke hearts, parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, and garlic powder
- Spread artichoke mixture over chicken breasts
- Bake, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes or until juices run clear
- While chicken is baking, get all dolled up, light a few candles, and crack open a nice bottle of chardonnay!
Needless to say, my husband was shocked when he got home from work to find a home-cooked meal and the table set for two instead of four!
Big kiss,
Gina from Los Angeles
